It seems that everyone and everything is multi-tasking these days, even our rooms. Every room from our offices, dorm rooms, living rooms, kitchens and every other room has multiple uses. If you want to have a party in the living room without your flat screen TV being the focal point of the evening a pop-up TV is the answer. So, exactly what is a "pop-up TV", anyway? Simply put, this is a flat screen TV attached to a special device that lifts up out of a cabinet for viewing on demand. You can have your party without fear of an accident or someone turning on the set to watch "the game" in the middle of the party.

So where can you install a this type of TV? Basically, anywhere that you can place a regular cabinet. Some examples include, but aren't limited to: bedrooms, outdoor rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, RV's, mobile homes, RV's, boardrooms and of course, the family room. Some even have a swivel so the screen can be pointed to any part of the room, thus allowing it to be installed practically anywhere. Your best bet would be to thoroughly research pop-up TV's and find one that is well-made, quiet and not too expensive.

If you already own a nice cabinet and would like your current TV to pop-up out of it, it is possible to order a kit that will allow you to fit your television inside and have it come up only when you need it. This is a nice option when you already have a set of matching furniture in a room and you don't want to change the look you have created. Remember, the idea here is for the television not to be dictating your decorating anymore!

If you would rather purchase a complete system already installed in a cabinet, rest assured that that can be accommodated as well. There are several companies that have the special TV cabinet, lift, component shelf, etc. fully assembled and ready to be delivered straight to you. This really couldn't be any easier. Once your order arrives simply follow the easy to read instructions and you're ready to use your pop-up TV. There are many beautiful cabinets to choose from anywhere from oak to maple to black lacquer. There are cabinets that are designed to fit every taste, style and budget from casual to formal and from frugal to extravagant.
