Metals, wood, plastic and tiles are highly susceptible to molds especially when there is high humidity. While cloth materials are easy to wash with just soap and water, washing cloth with water can aggravate the presence of mold, putting it at risk for disposal.

Since these items are easily movable, make sure that cleaning them is done outdoors. Because mold spores can travel and spread on air, keeping them outside will leave the air inside your home mold-free.
Now, for cloth-made items such as rugs, upholstery, and beddings, first, take-off the external lumps of mold that has formed itself in various areas of the item by combing them with a broom. Keep brushing them quite lightly to prevent the seeds and spores from further sinking in to the inner area of the cloth or item.
After brooming, thoroughly wash the broom before returning it in your home. We do not want these molds to return just right after cleaning. Return the broom and the materials for cleaning only after the complete cleaning process.

Next, use the attachment from a vacuum cleaner to suction more molds from the items. With this, molds are drawn directly to a sealed bag. If this is a removable bag, dispose off the bag immediately. If it is its designated bag, remain outdoors to cleaning the bag to make sure mold spores stay outside every time.

After that, choose your preferred method to completely dry the materials. You can use a heater or a fan, to let not the molds breed again. It is also preferred that you let it dry and wear it out in direct sunlight to kill the spores and get fresh air. Since molds breed in humid areas, a fairly warm bedding or rug is an unlikely territory that molds can

For upholstered materials, use a sponge with thick soap suds to clean the area, and use a clean damp cloth to rinse. Make sure not to soak the cloth wet as we are preventing the inner fillings of the materials from getting wet.

Another way to remove molds from upholstery is wiping its external cover with cloth damped with diluted alcohol. Diluted alcohol means combining 1 cup rubbing alcohol to 1 cup water. Lessening the alcohol content makes sure that the material will not be heated up and makes it prone to cracks. Because the alcohol quickly dries it, it is recommended that using water. One of the best forms of mold removal would be to use some organic cleaners that will not only take care of the mold problem but also prevent it from returning in the future.

For rugs and carpets (probably fashioned with unsightly mold 'prints'), use a sudded sponge and gently wipe over the materials. Make sure that you have covered all areas or else, if you miss a spot, mold can grow back immediately after you have cleaned it.
Use a clean cloth damped with clear water to remove the suds.
Air dry your rugs and carpets, although again, it is preferred that you sun dry it to let new air in, and be heated quite nicely.

Once cleaned, make sure you make it dry and keep it dry to discourage mold and mildew formations.
