How to create an Audio casting - Podcast? All you need is a recording software + Microphone, and certainly your computer! In this post, I will show you some simple steps to create a podcast for your blog, and it is rather easy!
Some of the software tools that you need:
Tool #1 - Audio Recording Software - I would recommend Audacity. This is an extremely easy to operate software, and it's FREE software! You can easily edit, change the playing speed, volume and adding file on your audio.
Tool #2 - Microphone - Any microphone or webcam with microphone will do! The sound must be clear, don't use low quality microphone, or you might turn your audience away!
Tool #3 - Use Podpress plugin for your blog - An audio plugin that allows Wordpress blog to play audio file. Unfortunately it does not support blogger and typepad blog, you need to find an audio service that provide some kind of JavaScript for integration.
Podcast is a very powerful method to stick your visitors on your blog and give the search engine good impression that your blog is "Good". After recorded and edited your speech, you can just upload it to the server, preferably on the wp-content/uploads of your blog.
