La Manga, Murcia
La Manga means 'the sleeve' and describes the spectacular spit of land that divides the Mar Menor ('smaller sea') from the Mediterranean, in Spain's south east region of Murcia. La Manga Beach Club is at the south end of the spit with its own beach on the Mar Menor, which is a sheltered lagoon, ideal for water sports. Just down the road is La Manga Club, long popular with visitors for its golf and tennis. An average winter temperature of 18 degrees and 320 days sunshine a year make the area perfect for the outdoor life, on land or water. It is well stocked with shops, bars, clubs and restaurants and is served by international airports at Alicante and San Javier. Murcia also offers a rich cultural heritage and outstanding natural beauty.
La Manga Golf Courses
There is a golf driving range and 9-hole course just a short walk from the Beach Club, but only a short drive away La Manga Club offers three 18-hole golf courses, with barrancas, natural storm gullies, adding an extra dimension to the game on all three. The championship course, the South, has been the venue for many major professional tournaments and is a favourite for corporate events. But the North Course, slightly shorter than the South, with tighter fairways and larger greens, offers a different, yet no less challenging, round of golf. Set in pine woodlands, the West Course is the favourite of many golfers for its outstanding views - not to mention the narrow fairways, blind shots, hazards and fast greens that will test your game to the full. And if you want to venture further afield there are around a dozen more courses in the triangle enclosed by Alicante to the north, Murcia (inland) and La Manga.
Buying Property at La Manga Beach Club
Property prices and rental yields in Murcia have been rising above the national average, making this a popular and rewarding area for property investment, as well as a wonderful place to live. La Manga Beach Club apartments can be bought from just 155,000 euros at this early stage of the development, with excellent payment terms and mortgage offers. The exclusive development offers one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury apartments, set in an idyllic beachfront location. Its modern glass architecture is designed to maximise views across the Mar Menor. Facilities include pools, a spa complex, private gardens, state-of-the-art gymnasium and its own café.
