Revenge Is Sweet
After completing my instructor's course I was assigned to an experienced instructor and a new group of would-be engineers. After a couple of weeks into this course, the experienced instructor finishing his topic asked me to take the next topic.
On completion of the course I was assigned my own group to teach and prepare them for the final exams, part way through the course I decided I did not like the classroom work and started to take the raw engineers into the hanger and teach them, to the disgruntlement of my boss.
After some discussion with my boss we found a solution to my problem of hating classroom work. There were other instructors who did not like taking groups away for a week mountain climbing or hill walking and an agreement was made that I did the expeditions with the groups and the other instructor would take my group for classroom work.
On the Monday, the first group I took headed to the welsh mountain. We were met by an experienced mountaineer. We found our beds for the night as we had an early start the next day. We all went mountain climbing and abseiling. Throughout the week the group as a whole had a great time and their confidence grew to a point were they started to become very lively and cheeky.
On the last day of the expedition, which was Friday morning, I thought how I could get my own back on this group? I decided to make them a pot of tea laced with back passage loosening medication (laxative!).
On boarding the train my final treat was to remove all the toilet rolls from the train for a 5 hour journey back to base.
