For those of you not familiar with Google Adwords, they are those blue boxes to the right of the search engines results page. What you put in those boxes are headline and descriptive sentences fueled by keywords. The cost of the keywords depends on their relevance. Usually, the more relevant the keyword the higher it's value.

Google adwords is an internet marketing system that can reward you with large profits. Achieving this goal may not be as difficult as you think. Writing good advertising copy is crucial if you want to become a serious adwords marketer. Actually, the better your copy, the more people will click on your ad.

Google gives you credit depending on the relevance of your ad to your search term. The result, is the higher amount of clicks you receive, the greater your relevance. As your clicks increase, you'll be ranked higher for those terms. This can lead to a reduction in the amount you pay for each ad.

The importance of writing good ad copy should be a major part of your focus. Even more important, is writing a good headline. Putting significant emphasis on writing a headline cannot be overstated. Readers see the headline first, and that will be what captures their attention, or sends them scurrying. People get their impressions considerably more from the headline than they do the copy.

Your headline should offer some benefit to your viewer. You want to customize it so as to capture the attention of your reader. If you don't grab their attention with your headline, chances are you've lost them. It is therefore a good idea to spend some quality time thinking about your headline. You might want to use a Thesaurus to find synonyms to trigger thoughts for creating clever headlines.

Though your two descriptive lines are not as important as your headline, they are still important. Remember, you only have 35 characters to play with. Be sure and include a benefit and feature in these lines. Since you don't have any words to waste, be prudent. Avoid the use of words like, a, is, it, your. If you don't want to think immediately about pruning, just write your sentence. You will be surprised when you go back and read this over how many words you can eliminate. i.e. You'll be surprised in rereading, how many words you can eliminate. Big difference huh?

It is of utmost importance to include your most dominent keyword(s) in the headline. You will also want to include it in the two description lines at least once, maybe twice. It is important as well, to insert it in your URL. Make sure all your keywords are prominent in your ads. This will significantly enhance the number of click through's, known as the "click through rate," or CTR.

When you pick your keywords, it will pay you to do some research. A good tool to use is Overature. You can submit keywords and this will bring up not only your keyword, but also related words. The numbers you see for each word pertains to how many times that particular word is visited each month.

You'll want to spend more time studying Adwords. If you pick the wrong keywords, your campaign can get costly in a hurry. Google has been known to pull a gypsy switch. They will charge you one rate one day, and with no warning or reason raise it the next. However, if you put in the time and effort there is money to be made.
