Who knew that one of the most popular spices used in cooking was also a powerful therapeutic-grade essential oil? Pepper oil is actually distilled from the same kind of peppercorns that are used on the table, and just like the spice pepper can warm up foods, pepper oil can warm you up and get your body moving.

Black pepper has also been used throughout history as a food preservative and seems to have antiseptic properties, which is why it is good for fighting infections within the body as well.

Use therapeutic-grade pepper essential oil in a diffuser to stop a cold, or in a bath to improve circulation and digestion and ease muscle discomfort and cramping.

It can also be added to a massage cream or lotion for muscle warming and discomfort of arthritis and to stimulate the appetite.
