How To Redirect The Newsletter Opt-In Registration To Your Sales Page Part II

If you do make a special offer on the confirmation email, it must be fact, and you cannot be offering this product at the same price elsewhere. It is best, therefore, to offer a product that you have never offered previously on the internet. In this way, no one can find it elsewhere, and your promise that it is just for them can be demonstrated. Your sales page, because that is basically what it is, must be toned down in comparison to a true sales page, since you don't want to be seen to be making a pitch when all the visitor wanted to do was to fill in a form.

One way to do this is to consider what you would expect if you filled in an opt-in form, and then received the normal email informing you of the double opt-in. Usually that is it, with no further offer, and you certainly don't want a sales page. However, a small thank you with the option of clicking on a link to find out about a special offer that is being made only to you for filling in the form would likely be acceptable

You have the option of clicking it or not. Most people would click out of curiosity, and if they do that then you have them on the hook. You now have to keep them there, and the first thing they should see is the offer. For example, 50% off this product for filling in our form. The product must be relevant to the information the visitor clicked to receive, and you should stress the benefits the product can provide. How much money it can make or save, or how it can make life easier.
