Improve Vertical Jump: Why Performing Some Vertical Jump Exercises Won't Improve Vertical Jump

Athletes are often misguided by vertical jump exercises and programs promising to improve vertical jump through a variety of vertical jump training exercises. This article will discuss why vertical jump exercises quickly become useless and won't actually improve vertical jump at all plus give you free unlimited access to a powerful and effective vertical jump workout program used by over 2000 athletes worldwide that will result in a massive vertical jump increase.

Did you know that your body builds up a vertical jump training immunity to vertical jump exercises done repetitively? Why this happens is your body becomes accustomed to the same exercise demands being placed on it over and over again and unfortunately the end result is that these vertical jump exercises become completely ineffectively or, alternatively, produce repetitive strain injuries ie RSI.

So while many athletes put the blame on vertical jump exercises that fail to improve their vertical jump it is actually not the vertical jump exercises that are letting the athletes down, it's the fact that these vertical jump exercises are performed at a sub-optimal level because the athletes have been taught to perform them in an inferior manner.

The hard core truth of the matter is that you will improve your vertical jump through jumping exercises indefinitely, however, if you perform your vertical jump exercises sub-optimally they will not improve your vertical jump at all, plus you could be at risk of serious injury as a result of performing the vertical jump incorrectly for an extended period of time.

As a matter of fact, when you include vertical jumping exercises into your vertical jump program it is critical that you have a workout that is scientifically and personally catered for your specific athletic needs. Why this is so critical is that the wrong vertical jump program will not result in an improvement in your vertical jump at all. You will be treading a fine and dangerous line between not doing enough vertical jump exercises, doing too many vertical jump exercises, and doing the vertical jump exercises incorrectly.

That being said, performing vertical jump exercises without a strict workout guideline very quickly become down-right useless and won't ever improve your vertical leap because of the following reasons:

1. Athletes perform these vertical jump exercises for far too many sets, reps and for too many workouts. This unfortunately occurs because of the misinformation that athletes are so often presented with by vertical jump programs promising to be better than they, in fact, actually are. And the most common side-effect of this is actually a decrease in vertical jumping ability, not a vertical increase at all.

2. The second reason is underperforming. Athletes don't perform enough workouts, enough reps and enough sets. Not doing enough to improve your vertical leap results is going to result in one thing only: no increase to your vertical leap at all. After all, you will get out of your vertical leap training what you effectively put into it.

3. Unfortunately very few people have any real idea how to increase the overload and demand on the muscles over time while at the same time increasing the power output requirements of the group of muscles used for performing a vertical jump in the first place.

The truth of the matter is that people frequently call these vertical jumping exercises as sub-optimal for the sole reason that these people, coaches included, have never learnt how to perform a vertical jump effectively and efficiently. Of course, since teachers and coaches don't know, they can't pass on this vital knowledge to their students and athletes.
