You probably know about the bean bag game if you come from the northern part of the United States. You might even play it. It is possible that you call it the Cornhole game instead. There are some arguments on where the game started. Some people also argue about whether the bean bag game and the Cornhole game are the same and whether the boards are the same size. The traditional board for the Cornhole game is two feet by four feet. Three feet by two feet is the size of the traditional board for the bean bag game. However, many people who play the Cornhole game use the smaller board because it is very portable. Anyone is able to play it, and you can take that smaller board around to backyard barbecues, tailgating parties, and all kinds of other get-togethers. Young and old alike can enjoy the game and the rules are very easy to follow. This game is something that everyone in the family can play and use to make memories together.

For some people, the bean bag game is more than just a hobby or a family activity. These people take it so seriously that they play it in tournaments. Many of these people spend a lot of hours each week practicing, and they need a good bean bag game set that they can use for that. Most people just purchase bags and a board, but some of them go out and make their own board. It is really not that difficult to make a bean bag game, even if you make both the board and the bags. The soft and durable cloth that the bags are made of can be purchased in many places. They are usually filled with plastic pellets today, but in the past they were filled with either dried corn or dried beans. Generally this was a good idea but the filler could degrade over time, especially if it got wet. To avoid this the plastic pellets were used and they remain very popular today. The older ways of doing things, though, are still very popular with some people who enjoy making their own bean bags. They can certainly make them this way as long as they remember to make sure that the bags do not get wet.

Simple tools and basic skills are all you need to make your own bean bag board. There are boards that can be purchased, of course, and many of the newer ones are plastic. The use of a wooden board or a plastic one is completely up to the person using it. The plastic boards and the wooden bean bag boards can be purchased, but wooden boards can also be made. When making your bean bag or Cornhole board you need to make sure that it fits tournament specifications. If you do that you can be sure that your practice will be on a standard, regulation board and you will not have any trouble when you get to the tournament. If you do that you can have a better chance of success.
