Whether you are extremely happy or unhappy, successful or unsuccessful, depends on how you handle life. Your state in life is determined largely on two things: The goals and preparations you have made, and the way you deal with your emotions. You have permission to publish this article.

You need to decide what you want out of life and determine what it will take to obtain it. Then you need to get the education you need and find a way to finance it. If you want to be successful, you have to pay the price. Eighty % of those that write their goals down attain them, yet only five % of the people of the earth record them. Writing down what you are going to do, how you are going to do it, and setting a time limit for obtaining it is a small price to pay for success.

You need to have balanced emotions. All of our emotions serve a purpose, but most of us overemphasize some emotions and under emphasize others. Fear was meant to warn of danger, but many overemphasize it to the point of being constantly terrorized that they will be physically harmed, fail in their project, or be rejected by others. Fear must be balanced by self confidence and assurance.

Pleasure was meant to be an aid in relaxation and unwinding. Some become so addicted to pleasure that they do not want to do anything else. Many become addicted to alcohol or drugs and spend their life under the influence. Turning your life over to a mind controlling drug that has no mind of its own can only lead downward.

Guilt was give to us by our maker so that we would realize that we have done wrong and correct it. Unfortunately, some still feel guilty after they have done what they can to make it right. Once you have made the amends, you should no longer feel guilty. If you feel God is going to punish you, remember that when you repent of our sins he forgives and forgets. Of course you should avoid all wrongs possible. When you do right, you should not feel guilty. Do what you can to correct any way you have wronged another. It is their fault if they fail to forgive you.

Boredom can be counteracted by doing something you love to do. Our emotions were not meant to make us miserable, but to give us the tools to handle life properly, Worry only makes you miserable, but concern serves a useful purpose. If there is something you can do to make things better, do it, if not, do not worry about it.

Focus on the one thing you want to accomplish. Decide what your purpose in life is and set your priorities in order to support it. If what you are doing is not supporting your purpose, stop doing it and do something that does.

Spending time worrying or fearing failure can bring about what you have on your mind. Concentrate on success and happiness. Your major thoughts determine your future. Make sure they are positive. Unbalanced emotions lead to unbalanced lives and sidetracked purposes. You have the power to control your thoughts and emotions. Do not let them control you

Working all hours can accomplish much, including making more money, but if you do not have time to enjoy what you have, you are defeating the purpose for having it. You will be more creative and refreshed if you get away from your work frequently and relax.
