Many people see politics in Nigeria as a dirty game played by dirty people. But my question is, "Does the dirty politics in Nigeria have any effect on clean people?" If the answer is yes then there is a problem. The problem is that the clean people in the society where dirty people dictate the pace are will soon be forced to be dirty. Imagine a blind man leading a man that has two good eyes. It's an error that can be rarely seen under the sun.

What bores many people is the fact that many Christians stay away from the so-called game of politics because they believe that politics is not good for a Christian to be part of it. The worst part is that most Christians even boycott elections on the account that their votes will not change anything. Some of them discourage their fellow Christians from talking about politics but end up complaining that those in authority are not doing it well.

How can you correct somebody that is doing something wrong if you are sitting on the fence? The bible says that the evil bow before the good which means that the good people are meant to rule over the bad people. And the bible also says that righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to every nation. This means that a nation governed by wicked people are bound to be recording failures in all fields of human endeavor but the nation led by good people receive the good things of life.

The Christians in Nigeria should wake up and have a rethink. They should come out and join politics so that it will be well with the nation.
