I use to be a traveling salesman many years ago. My route was through the Deep South which I liked to call barbecue land because I loved that good old southern barbeque. Coming from a big city from up north I had taken a shining to the great hospitality that the south is known for. And this is where I was to discover a kidney stone cure.

I had earlier been diagnosed with a kidney stone after experiencing a series of sharp, excruciating pains and cramps. My doctor told me that the kidney stone would pass but if it persisted they might have to remove the kidney stone surgically. The doctor gave me a prescription for some pain killers. About a week later the problem seemed to have disappeared.

I went back on the road through the Deep South which I had grown to love. I was driving along a lonely old highway and it was one of those hot, humid southern August afternoons where the humidity soared and your perspiration flowed freely. I couldn't wait to get to my destination so I could sit back and enjoy an ice cold beer and a plate of barbeque.

That's when the kidney stone pain came back and it came back with a vengeance. I was in so much pain I almost ran my car off the road. I checked my pain killer prescription and I only had 1 pain killer left. I gobbled that down real quickly and started looking for a country doctor because I knew that kidney stone pain would persist.

I pulled into this small town - if you could call it that. It was no more than a gas station and a small country store with a few houses surrounding the buildings. I asked the gas station attendant where the closest doctor was and he told me the closest doctor was about a 10 hour drive away.

I guess the attendant could see the disappointment in my face or he could sense the pain I was feeling so he told me about a woman who was known to help the common folk in the area that needed a little medical assistance. And the woman lived only about a 10 minute drive away.

In most instances such as this I would have thanked the man for his suggestion and gone straight to a medical doctor. But my pain killer was beginning to wear off and my kidney stone was getting the better of me. I decided to go see this woman.

And it was a good decision I made to go see this women as this is where I was to find a kidney stone cure.
