Information product sales continue to explode! And now you want your piece of the pie. So what kind of product will you create? Will create a high ticket item or a small ticket item? And at what price will you sell it for? This article will help you in your quest to finding answers to these important questions.

Small ticket products generally sell for anything below $10 up to $100 and above. High ticket items will be charged at around $200 to even above $1000. Deciding which kind of product you want to create will define your whole business plan.

The biggest advantage of small ticket items is that they are generally easier to sell. Most people do not think much of spending $5 on a fast food meal or a magazine, but they will certainly evaluate all their options and think very carefully if they are buying a new television set, as an example. However, you'll have to sell many of these small ticket items to make a huge profit.

High end products, on the other hand, sell for a very large price, meaning your profit margin is much higher per sale. These products include complete home study courses and even consultation. The downside is that such items need to present a big return on investment for the buyer before they will even consider purchasing it. You'll need to create a blockbusting salespage to sell such an expensive product.

What many top information entrepreneurs recommend is to start off small. This is done by creating a marketing funnel. By selling lower-end products first, you can create a customer base which you can then offer higher-end products to. You can build your reputation and credibility this way first.
