It is a Fact now that a daily dose of omega 3 Fatty Acids will boost the brain development of children by three years in only three months.

Children given capsules of Omega-3 grew additional "grey matter" which helps intelligence.

Brain scans, which showed the evidence of changes, were reinforced by results in tests of reading, concentration and short-term memory.

Children who took part in the study increased their reading ability by an average of a year and a quarter during the Omega 3 trial.

Scans showed their brains developed three years in as many months as nerve fibres grew additional branches.

This proves that our children are deficient in "smart fats" other wise known as Omega 3 Fatty Acids, healthy "FATS" not junk food full of sugar.

Professor Basant Puri, who led the research, states that our children need Omega-3 supplements to give them a better intelligence and a more balanced life.

The reason being children are unlikely to consume their daily dose of Omega 3 through eating their daily normal diet, they need to be given supplements of high quality fish oil.

The facts are irrefutable that Omega 3 essential fatty acids will improve your Childs learning power, concentration and behaviour.

Professor Basant Puri, who is the head of imaging
And psychiatry at the Imperial College London stated that after 3 months of omega-3 supplements remarkable improvements where seen in the children.

The average increase in their reading age was a year and a quarter and their handwriting became more accurate.

Another research proved equally positive.

A scientific trail in question was performed in the south east of England on a group of normal lively school children.

When the scientific data was published the daily papers in the UK all carried the amazing story of how school children between 6 and 12 were given 6 high-grade fish oil capsules per day for a minimum of 12 weeks.

Some of the stories that were published showed some remarkable behavioural changes in the children.

A large number of the parents were also interviewed to document their findings to, and the stories all came back the same, the children's behaviour was far better than it had ever been!

Three major types of omega-3 fatty acids exist. Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) is in plant foods such as flaxseed, walnuts and canola oils.

Eicosapentaenoic acid, or EPA, and docosahexaenoic acid, or DHA, are found in fish and algae, especially in fatty fish such as salmon, trout and herring.

Human milk contains all three types of omega-3 fats: ALA, DHA and EPA. (DHA is the main type needed for brain, eye and nerve development.)

The main difference between the three is that omega 3 oil in the form of a triglyceride is rapidly absorbed into the body and oil in the form of an ethyl ester is absorbed more slowly.

Both of these different types of fish oils are currently sold on the world market and can be bought in either liquid form or capsule form. Most leading Western doctors state that we should purchase the oil in the form of ethyl ester due to its slower uptake.

One of the easiest ways of ensuring you will feel the full therapeutic effect from a fish oil is to ensure that fish oil has a high concentration strength and is from the unpolluted cold waters of the Southern Oceans this should be checked at the point of purchase to ensure any disappointment later on.
