The NFL is looking to expand their horizons and reach a more global audience by holding this year the first regular season game of the NFL outside the United States. Apparently the game will take place in London.

Although the opponents haven't been announced yet, the Miami Dolphins and the New York Giants are the two teams most likely to participate in this event. The Miami Dolphins are one of six NFL teams that the league recognized as potential home teams. They would renounce to a home game in Miami to host the match in London.

The Wembley Stadium that counts with 90,000 seats and the 82,000 seat Twickenham are the candidates to host the game. The Wembley Stadium will open this spring after a few years of delays. The Twickenham is home of English Rugby.

This game will be played between de last days of September and mid-October.

The official announcement of the teams, date and location will be given by the National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell before this season's Super Bowl that will be held in Miami next February 4th.
