For thousand of years, sharks have either been considered as a cruel human predator or the main ingredient of some culinary delicacies, especially in Asian countries. With today's technology, experts have been both studying closely and learning a lot from sharks. In fact, they have made some unexpected discoveries.

For starters, they have discovered that the stench produced by shark carcasses creates an efficient shark repellent. Next, some fisheries have used an unusual practice that is 100% natural to diminish the number of seabirds' fatalities. What are they doing? Well, they drip some shark liver oil around their boat to repel seabirds.

Shark liver oil has also been used as a natural source of Omega-3 and 6 to improve the levels of nutrients and minerals in humans consuming it. Another advantage known to this oil is that it seems to boosts the immune system which fights viruses, diseases and bacteria.

One other part of the shark anatomy that have been said to both boost the humans' immune system and "cure" cancer is the shark cartilage. Shark cartilage pills are told to be quite effective in fighting cancer but experts advise some caution as it has not been proven in humans yet. The affirmation of such a statement comes from testing done in laboratory rats.

Like a variety of medication, shark cartilage pills need to be tested more thoroughly to be able to confirm or decline such benefits. Side effects must also be researched before making this an official statement.

People's mind is racing when thinking of the possible benefits attributed to the all natural shark cartilage pills but nonetheless, it should not be considered lightly, especially when you consider their expensive cost.
