Greensboro has a number of activities to keep both residents and tourists entertained. There are museums, golf courses, shopping centers and many other attractions. If nature is more your thing you might be interested in the Bog Garden. Read along and learn about this popular nature attraction in Greensboro, north Carolina.

The Bog Garden is more than just your typical every day manicured garden. It is much more than that, it is more of a preserve than a traditional groomed garden. It has a wood plank walking path that leads visitors on a tour through it. The boardwalk as it is called will lead you on a tour of the wetlands area. See native trees, shrubs, ferns and a variety of other plants. You also get a glimpse of the wonderful diversity of wildlife in the area including native birds and other water life. It gives you an idea of what the area would look like without the intervention of man. A popular stopping point on the Bog Garden tour is the Benjamin Lake Overlook. It is a peaceful location where you can view migrating birds, feed the local ducks or just relax. It is highly recommended.

If this sounds like it would be something that would interest you, you should definitely check it out. You can find the Bog Garden at Hobbs Road and Starmount Farms Road in Greensboro. For more information on park hours or if you have any other questions you can call the parks information line at 336-373-2199.
