Let's face it. Guys hate Valentine's Day. So, this year, let's chuck the bouquets and 'Take Back Valentine's Day.'

Too many single men go begging on February 14. They make a big show of fakery and flattery, throwing away money on flowers, chocolates and over-priced meals. It's time we stop. Why?

Because men resent being "forced" into the charade, and the women they fawn over don't really buy it either. It's better for men to be powerful and authentic rather than forced and artificial. Back when February 14 was first celebrated as a holiday, things were very different.

The whole holiday originated during Roman Times with a festival called Lupercalia, when young women eagerly put their names into a box. Each young man then pulled a name from the box, and the woman he chose would be his to cavort with for a day, a week or even a year. Now THAT's a Holiday!

What men need to know is that Internet Dating is our modern day Lupercalian box. Your average guy can just reach into a dating site and pull out any one of a million beautiful, eager, and eligible women who are actively searching for men right now. The problem is that 99% of men do it wrong. They don't know how to stand out online, or capture a woman's imagination. So, they end up sitting at home alone or haunting bars, empty-handed at the end of the night.

That's because guys usually make one or more of the 5 Biggest Blunders of Online Dating, and the result is that they end up being invisible to women online at best, and powerless at worst. Those Six blunders are:

1) Guys talk to women like they talk to other men, and it falls on deaf ears.

2) Guys pigeonhole themselves online with their screen names, their profiles, and their "data", eliminating all mystery and attraction.

3) Guys try to too hard to "sell themselves" online, putting the women in control.

4) Guys talk about Sex far too early, even though there are subtle ways to get women to think and talk about sex and intimacy first.

5) Guys come across as "predators", putting women on the defensive right from the start.

All men need to realize that Internet Dating is "God's Gift to Guys". Better than bars, parties or the local coffee house, you absolutely know that the women you are going to find are ready and willing to meet you. And internet dating done right means that by the time you eventually meet her, she's already yours.
