In this day and age it is vital that we do every bit we can to help the environment, whether it be recycling unused bottles, cans, newspapers, etc. Even oil and fat can be reused, I bet you would have never have thought it, especially if you own a restaurant or any other kind of food establishment. Next time you go to pour waste oil, grease, fat or any other kind of waste down the drain think first. All these kinds of waste can be disposed of in a more environmentally friendly way. Oils, fats and all other waste is what are congealing the inner walls of sewers everywhere. It is actually the main cause of sewer and drain blockages as well as sewer spills. Not only this but your drains can become severely blocked meaning not even water will be able to pass through if it gets so bad.
As anybody who works in the food business will know, a high amount of food is processed; this means a lot of waste oil etc. It can be a pain to clean and dispose of properly and a lot of people who may not be educated on the damages of this would on first instinct think to pour it down the drain. It's the easy thing to do but if you could see what damage it was doing you would definitely reconsider. Many food establishments come across drain blockage regular and it can be an extremely costly thing to get sorted as well as the unpleasant odours it leaves. Some restaurants lose business as they have to close while they get it sorted. It is definitely beneficial to yourself to install a grease management system or Grease Guzzler that manages the disposal of the fluids for you as this means you get to continue running your business consistently without problems. The price may be high for a good grease management system but one lot of maintenance on blocked drains could cost the same if not more.
Simplified, what a Grease guzzler will do is break down oil and fat and turn them near enough into water and CO2, the only maintenance it needs is the biological -fluid will need replaced as and when it is required. You don't even need to acknowledge that it is there. It also will prevent drain blockages, foul odours, pest contamination that would usually occur in drains and it is economical on space utilisation.
If however you would like to recycle fats and oils you can purchase containers of which you just pour the oils and waste into, somebody would come and collect these from you as an when you needed. It all depends on your preference, how busy you are and what you require. A grease guzzler is perfect for a busy restaurant as it barely needs checked. It is however preferred that you hire in somebody to come and replace the bio fluid and perform a maintenance check every six months to ensure everything is in working order.
