You are labeling yourself as unemployed as your neighbor and asking: why me? Loosing your job for short or long term can be very disruptive. If you are unemployed for couple of months now you probably start developing doubts as to your potentials. Especially in starting a new career. 1 - Relax and plan well

Managing the high stress associated with losing your job and finding another could drain your reserves. In fact, you would need to be doing some adjustment on your resume or CV depending on the job requirements and objectives. Thinking of being unemployed what to do will not be that much worrying as you keep yourself busy with various searches.

3 - Avoid isolating yourself

There could be a tendency to keep away form people as spending time with others could be talking about your undesired situation. Well, the fact is that when we work 9 to 5 we get so hectic and busy that we hardly have time for healthful activities like exercising. We always tend to wait for the weekend that has it own must do activities in the house or getting weekly food supply. This is the time to perform extra activities that otherwise were limited due your previous work schedule. Try to discover a hobby that will contribute to mental and physical health. This could involve interacting with others playing any sport.

4 - Be flexible in your choices

True, your qualification or profession is an achievement that you have worked hard and invested on. Loosing the chance to continue doing what you are specialized on does not mean that you cannot start something new.
