What is it exactly the the spiders are hungry for? A healthy diet of content fed frequently! SEO Article: How to write search engine friendly content.

To be truly successful and stay on top of the rankings SEO needs to be an ongoing process.

You won't see your results overnight, if your site is brand new, it may take 3 months minimum before you start seeing any real positive ranking results. This is due to the length of time search engines take to crawl or gather all the information on your site and index it into their search engine.

In order to establish high rankings we need to;

Gain the trust of the major search engines such as Google, then take it one step further, and really impress them!

Search engines won't tolerate attempts at manipulating their search results, so what we must do is give them what they want, that is websites designed for the users in mind, not websites designed in a feeble attempt to trick the search engines into giving your website high rankings.

A website designed for "the user in mind"?

This is a site that offers new, fresh, useful, original and QUALITY written content. The content is relevant to the theme of your site, and needs to be updated regularly.

You need to give your viewers worthwhile information; so worthwhile in fact, they keep coming back to your site for more!

Don't just blatantly copy information from one site to your own. Not only is it a possible breach of copyright, duplicate content also is a SEO crime and search engines will punish your rankings for this.

Other things to keep in mind are:

* Who are your potential customers?

* What are they looking for?

* What valuable information can you offer your visitors and potential customers - why should they use your products and services as opposed to other companies, ie what is your business's "point of difference". Do you have a good knowledge of your websites theme that you could share with your visitors?

* Include your chosen keywords throughout your content. Insert them as they naturally fit.

To validate to a search engine that a site is genuinely about a specific topic, include multiple variants of related words, phrases and terms e.g.

* nouns, verbs and adjective variations

* synonyms

eg: Say your website offered car hire services you would use words such as car, cars, vehicle, automobile, transport, sedan etc.

SEO Friendly Content Summary

So remember, to be successful at Search Engine Optimisation and ensure you achieve high rankings, writing quality content will not only keep your visitors happy and give them a reason to return, the major search engines will reward your hard work and give your website the rankings it deserves.

Best of luck with your writing!
