Although his appearance in the hit movie The Secret is brief -it lends its self to the "Power of Intention" working together and in union with The Law of Attraction!! He tells two separate stories the first of which explains that before he was playing in the big league there was a time where every time he'd go to his mail box all he was receiving where "A bunch of bills in the mail". He lays claim to his absolute belief that his "Starting to imagine a bunch of checks in the mail" resulted in just that and he gleams with utter happiness and shear delight from how he now continues to "Get a bunch of checks in the mail...I still get a few bills in the mail -but mostly checks!"

Then he is also seen talking about how he "Always lines up car parks" which translates to those of us from the States as he always finds a parking place whenever he needs one -where ever he goes every single time! If you were to wager the odds on that one -I would say be prepared that they would be against you -finding one every time is virtually impossible! What seems even more unlikely is how David has made a success of a few obstacles that would have caused the average person to give up and settle for a simple - unfulfilled life vs. a prosperous full one. For example his very first business venture turned into a disaster after he co-invented a type of machine that handled baled hay -from that invention he started a manufacturing company to supply his product throughout Australia. For three successful years he made his living from that operation -until he decided to sell his half of the business -and was never paid a single dime for it -in the end he and his wife Lorna were left deeply in debt!

The next 5 years that fallowed left them struggling to feed their four young children. They had difficulty paying their phone, electricity, and even the rent began to fall behind. However, his wife had been given shares from a family member and they began to show interest in the stock market when they found themselves in danger of losing what little else they had left.
The learning curve however was long and hard and on a couple of occasions all the money gained from David's various endeavors resulted in losing all he'd built and invested. After nearly a decade of getting kicked around he finally mastered his own strategies and even began showing others how to analyze the various markets he had come to understand. Which -in the final chapters of his professional journey -lead to his ultimate success.

The traits that I believe David's story tells us -not mentioned in The Secret -that translate into the realization of our aspirations are fortitude and tenacity -to move forward with our desire and intent to succeed without these characteristics is nothing short of wasted time and effort. Action is the element that brings forth our greatest dreams -I'll give you that...but it is the fire within -the passion and vision that keeps us fixed upon our goals and aspirations.
