Hotel Perks That Work

Have you ever stayed in a hotel longer than a week? Do you remember what you liked about this particular hotel? Did they have perks? Would you tell your family and friends about the hotel that had perks that worked? If you answered yes or no to either question, read on.

I recently had to live in a hotel for a month. When living away from home for any length of time it becomes a dream of returning home and resuming my normal life. The hotel was a chain hotel and what made my long stay bearable were the perks.

When I talk about perks I will list them below:

(1) Samples of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion.

(2) A Continental Breakfast which included healthy food as well as your typical unhealthy food and being able to take food back to my room to eat later for lunch or a snack.

(3) Coffee pot in room.

(4) Hair dryer in room.

(5) Ironing board and iron in room.

(6) Refrigerator and Microwave in room.

(7) Having fresh brewed coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day available in the lobby.

(8) Being able to take extra coffee packets, creamers/sugars and cups back to my room.

(9) Having fresh fruit in large bowls in the lobby 24 hours a day.

(10) Having plenty of lamps in my room; otherwise the room would have been dark and dingy.

(11) Bathrobes provided by the hotel.

(12) A computer chair that adjusts to my height and weight.

(13) A fan in the bathroom which elimates mold and mildew odors.

(14) A local newspaper delievered to my door daily.

I had to spend another long term stay at another hotel. The perks I mentioned above were not all implemented in their hotel courtesy system. Therefore, I would not recommend this hotel to my family or friends.

These perks mentioned above make a long hotel stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Maybe some of you hotels might take the hint. PERKS WORK.
