Getting a Good Wholesale Dropshipper

Ready to start your own business? Have you thought of all the things you will need to do? You'll need a website, you'll need a product line and you'll need inventory.  While the first two of these items you will have to deal with, you don't necessarily have to deal with the inventory end of things. If you know what you are doing you can use a wholesale dropshipper to take care of the inventory end of your business.

A dropshipper is a person who has all the inventory of the items you want to sell. They often have warehouses of merchandise just waiting to go to a new owner. When you get an order in, they will fill it, and ship the items to your waiting customers.

Get to Know the Companies

The first thing you should know about the dropshippers you are considering is their past. You want to know they have been in business for a while and that they are reliable. There are new dropshippers popping up every day and many of them are offering great deals for people who will sign on with them. While you may want to get in on these great deals, you should be a little more careful before you sign up. Many of those dropshippers that are new today may be gone tomorrow. That will leave you without your contact, without the goods your clients have ordered and without a business.

What Rules are in Place?

The next thing you should get to know is the rules they have in order to work with them. Some dropshippers are real easy to work with and don't have a lot of rules and regulations. Others have minimum sales volume you must meet for the month or else you will be assessed a fee. Think about this for a minute. If you have fewer sales for the month, you are already struggling. You don't need someone charging you for it.

Things Will Go Wrong

You should understand in advance that there are things that will go wrong when you are using your dropshipping service. It's possible some of your packages will get lost or that the items inside some of the others will end up broken. Find out what type of policy your dropshipper has to deal with these problems to keep your customers happy.

How Charges are Made?

You need to find out what types of charges are coming from the wholesale dropshippers you are going to work with. Some have fees they will charge you monthly. Others will charge you only by the items you sell. This is the better way to go to make sure you are not paying more than you need to each month.
