Apart from the narrow eastern corridor where the majority of the population is concentrated, Botswana is a largely road less country where vast stretches of the savannas, the Kalahari deserts, the wetlands and salt pans contribute to the popularity of the country as a popular tourist location- for the rugged and weathered travelers.

Botswana draws its popularity from the spectacular inland Okavango Delta. Other than this, Botswana is a land-locked country and is mostly dominated by the Kalahari Desert. Africa safari offer travelers splendid and diverse experiences in immaculate natural environments comprising flora, fauna in the vast stretches of wilderness. an adventure trip to Botswana would give you a first hand experience of the famous deserts, the vast savannahs, the predator infested wetlands, the deltas and the game reserves of one of the wildest regions in Africa.

The best time to visit Botswana Safari is during the autumn and the winter, which starts from the month of April through August. These days are generally pleasant and comfortable and you can watch a great deal of wildlife near the water sources. April through August are the busiest months in Botswana and things can become pretty crowded. Hence, prior booking and arrangement is necessary. June, early July and late September are the least crowded times to visit and you can take you time to visit the country.

Avoid visiting Botswana during summers. This isn't the best time to hit the country as prolonged rain may play a spoilsport. Not only animals prefer remaining in shelter, but also the un metalled roads become completely inaccessible. The main disadvantage is game viewing. Water sources are sparse during autumn and animals have to come there to drink. However, water is abundant during the monsoon, and hence animals don't have to come to any specific place to drink. Even more difficult are the months of December, January, February, and March. These months are associated with heavy rains and Chobe and Moremi national parks especially inaccessible. Moreover, most of the lodges are closed during this season.
