Evening primrose oil is extracted from seeds of Oenathera Biennis. Plant is also known by name sundrop and tree primrose, which grows in gentle climatic condition. But, most probably they are founded in United States and Europe; and it is also regarded as weed. Exclusive characteristics of evening primrose plant is that, whole summer the plant will blossom but that the life of flower is only single day, till the sunset.

The seeds of primrose oil have been proved very helpful and effective in liver and kidney problem. It also helps in controlling cholesterol, high blood pressure and various other anxiety problems. It is also very effective in dealing with disorders in reproductive system of women, osteoporosis, menopausal problems, arthritis and various other problems.

Evening primrose oil is easily available in any health and food store, in a form of liquid or in capsules. It is considered as rich source of fatty acids as these essential fatty acids is not produced by human body but they are necessary to maintain health. These essential fatty acids controls pains, irritation and avoid blood clots, control cholesterol, blood pressure and other problems.

Evening primrose oil is perfect solution for treating sunburn and eczema. Each and every part of plant is useful and used for one or the other purposes such as its root are boiled and eaten. Likewise, its seeds are roasted and sometimes they can also be used as substitute of coffee.

Before using evening primrose oil to children, the person is suggested to consult a physician. Evening primrose should not be used by the people facing problem such as epilepsy.

Evening primrose oil is not at all a toxic solution. However, sometimes the person can face problems like nausea, headache and other small side effects, which are only regarded as small allergic reactions.

Evening primrose oil is regarded as perfect combination and source of Linoleic and GLA (gamma-Linolenic acid). It provides nutrition and also acts as herbal medicine. Other than curing various health problems, it is also used in manufacturing of certain herbal soaps and other cosmetics as it also have moisturizing and softening effects.

Thus, evening primrose oil is rich in Linoleic and GLA, which are considered as good for maintaining sound health. This oil also contains various essential fatty acids and omega fatty acids which are required in order to control insulin, cancer problem, weight reducing and heart function etc. It also gives relieve to women by helping them in their problem such as pre-menstrual syndrome, breast pain and other body pains.
