Don't you love being told that you look young for your age?  It brightens the day like a ray of sunshine.  That is most likely the case if you're part of the female population age 25 and older.  Whoever said that to you is probably referring to the amount or lack of wrinkles you have, specifically on your face, neck and hands.  If you want to reveal a person's age those are the tell tale places to look.  We all know that sun, stress and pollution are the biggest premature aging factors affecting us but you may be amazed to hear some other reasons.

If you've noticed wrinkles on your cheeks, temples, and chin it is probably the result of sleeping on your side.  Try to train yourself to sleep on your back to prevent those grooves from getting any deeper.  You can also ward off wrinkles and get shiny tresses by using a silk pillow case.  If you are the class clown always making those funny faces for your classmates or coworkers you might want to cut back.  Repetitive facial movements like raising your brows or contorting your mouth will cause creases in those areas which eventually turn into wrinkles.  Also, always wear sunglasses or reading glasses to ward off those lovely crow's feet around the corners of your eyes from squinting too much.

On that note, make a conscious effort to avoid the harsh sun between the hours of 10 am and 3 pm.  If that is not possible, wear a wide brim hat along with an SPF of 30 on your face and decolletage area.  Pamper yourself with facial products containing plenty of alpha hydroxyl acids which lift away the top layer of dead skin cells.  Also, topical products containing vitamin C (the kind with L-asorbic acid) has been known to increase collagen production and protect against those harmful UVA and UVB rays.  These are just some of the things you can do to keep you looking as young as you feel.
