So, just how does someone go about getting the best probiotic Candida supplement for treating their yeast infection?

A probiotic is essentially "good" bacteria that help the body digest food, absorb nutrients, provides support for a healthy immune system and helps fight of infections and combat the effects of bad bacteria. Crucially, they also have a major role to play in keeping yeast infections suppressed.

Unfortunately there are many different strains of friendly bacteria and each one has its own particular strengths and weaknesses. There are some which are extremely hardy, and able to survive in extreme conditions, including being freeze-dried, at room temperature and in high acid environments.

However, there are others that are not likely to survive the trip back from the health store if not looked after correctly.

After many years of research being carried out there is one particular strain of probiotic, which is believed to be one of the better.

The best probiotic supplement, to help relieving your candida symptoms, should be able to survive storage for long periods without losing levels of healthy probiotics.

You may have found that the supplements you have tried before have not provided you with the most effective results you were hoping for, and this may simply be because they fell short in quality stakes.

A good probiotic will usually contain one, or sometimes all of the following beneficial bacterium:

L. acidophilus, L. plantarum, L. casei, L. bulgaricus, S. faecium, and L. salivarius

There is no one probiotic that can be considered the best for an individual, but there are some things to look out for.

1. Make sure that you get the best quality probiotic supplement, with sufficient concentration of the "good" bacteria. Everyone is different an so the levels of probiotics you need will be specific to your condition
2. Ensure that you can satisfy the storage instructions on the label, and that the use by date is strictly adhered to.
3. When you buy the supplement, ensure that it has been stored appropriately. It is better to by from a quality store where you know the probiotic has been handled and stored well.
4. Price is not always a good indicator of quality.
