Many marketers today tends to do a crucial mistake when they are developing their free marketing eBooks. Some of this eBooks that are developed to promote a website or a product are straight up really bad. The author or marketer might think that since the reader is not paying for the product she doesn't expect a high level of quality, or that since they are not making any direct profits from the eBook it is not worth spending that much time on.

Both these believes are terribly wrong!

I've said it before, and I will probably say it again: an eBook is your chance to be spending some time with your visitors and prospects. You will be able to spend maybe thirty minutes to an hour with a lot of the people who download your eBook. You can compare it to a salesman taking a customer out for a nice dinner. The salesman would probably not buy the prospect a bottle of coke to drink on some dirty stairs. He would much rather take the prospect out to a fancy restaurant, have a nice time with him and present the product in a professional style.

Even though you want to spend a lot of time with your visitors your free eBook don't have to be 300 or even 20 pages. 10 pages is more than enough if it gives the reader something to remember or something to work with.

When you write a crappy eBook to give away or use those resell rights give away eBooks that has been in every corner of the internet just to get your visitors email address you are not giving a good first impression. The reader will associate you with bad quality. You probably understand that you can loose a lot of customers and money doing this.

The message of this article is simple: free eBooks is your night on the town with your visitors, so make it a pleasant evening!

The most important aspect of an eBook is of course its content. The eBook needs to give something to the reader. It must help her with a problem or widen her view of life, make her laugh or make her cry. The content must also relate to the content to your website.

Other things you can do to enhance the quality to you eBook is to liven it up with pictures, a nice cover, free resources etc. There is no limit to what you can do to improve it and make the right first impression. Also be sure to check the spelling.
