Wood stoves are a popular addition to any home, whether for cooking, heating or for decorative purposes. These stoves, which use wood as a primary fuel, are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and designs. Customers can purchase them either at household stores or on the Internet.

Of the many different types of wood stoves available, the ceramic wood stove is one of the rarest. The stove comprises of ceramic tiles. It was popular in 19th century Europe where it is believed to have originated. The status of the people was often measured with the costly ceramic wood stoves present in each household. Today, these types of wood stoves are rarely produced. As a result they have become very rare and classify as antique pieces which only the true art connoisseur tries buying at most times.

Very few companies deal with antique ceramic wood stoves. They have very beautiful and authentic ceramic stoves of very high aesthetic value and sometimes at surprisingly affordable prices. They are also available in the freestanding variety. Most customers are concerned about the broken tiles of some old stoves as this mars their beauty. So these companies try and fix these faults with similar quality tiles with absolutely no visible difference as compared to the old tiles. This brings back the lost art in these stoves and restores its original beauty. However, these companies refrain from restoring all the tiles and limit their repairing to only twenty five percent of the tiles. That means that if a wood stove has more than 25% of damage they do not sell such stoves.

These antique ceramic wood stoves are available at many local antique shops and showrooms. It's essential for customers to check the authenticity of these stoves to be sure of their age-old quality. These stoves are designed in such a way so as to tolerate the intense heat and still remain intact and undamaged. They are generally found in big houses and grand themed hotels.
