Establishing a Stay Home Moms Club in your area is just like planning any other event. The only difference is that you're that targeting stay at home moms like you, and it's an event that would hopefully last for a lifetime.
Determine a theme
Gather all the stay at home moms in your area with a party or a workshop. Find a theme that is sure to capture their interest. Just make sure that it's something you already have the credentials to organize. This could be something as simple as an acquaintance party for all the stay at home moms or a simple seminar to help stay at home moms find more productive and pleasant ways to spend their time at home.
There is, however, a second theme for you to consider. Add a twist to your event. You can have all your guests dress up in beautiful Hawaiian costumes if you're going to host a luau. Or you can have everyone bring a special token that they would like their child to inherit for events with a nostalgic theme. It can be anything under the sun. Just let your imagination run free!
Start advertising
No, you don't need to pay a professional advertising agency to spread the word about your impressive event. Start with simple word of mouth marketing. Establish a telephone brigade. Post a shoutout on all social networking sites and encourage others to do the same. Print out some flyers to distribute and post your DIY posters on your community bulletins.
Prepare your presentation
Remember, you're not holding a seminar or party just for the heck of it. Your main goal is to organize a Moms Club in your area. The event will have all possible members in one place. The next step is to convince them to join.
Your presentation will have greater impact if it's accompanied with multimedia aids. A simple PowerPoint presentation would do, but if you can also add a game or a role-playing segment, so much the better!
Have your website ready for registration
Say you've convinced all your guests and they're excited to join a Stay Home Moms Club. What next? If you let them leave just like that, their enthusiasm might wane in the next few days and you'll have to do this over again.
If you've got their attention already, don't waste it! Have a website ready for member registration. Bring a laptop or two for on-site registration. And if possible, give away a little token or pamphlet so they'll have something nice to remember their first day with fellow Moms Club members.
