I just don't understand why people spend so much in buying cars and spend so little when it comes to maintenance and purchasing stuffs that protect their cars. Like for instance purchasing quality car covers.

Let's face it we just can't take our garage anywhere we go. So the next best thing for protection that we can get our cars is a car cover. Just what are the benefits that can be derived from car covers? First of all it protects the car specifically its paint finish from the elements and from too much exposure from the sun which you may think is quite harmless but in reality can ruin your car's paint quickly.

So now that you know just how important it is that you have a car cover and probably thinking "ok, ill buy one" but wait just yet there's more that you need to know. In your search for quality car covers you will be introduced to the custom car cover experts like the Covercraft and Coverking. ---These two are brands reigning names in paint protection.

But between the two brands, the Covercraft is considered as the leader in the vehicle protection and storage. Covercraft has built its name in the car cover market by simply out patterning its competition the Coverking. Compared to its competition Covercraft offers more pattern choices for more vehicles than we can comprehend. Covercraft's library of patterns involves more than one hundred model years.

These patterns are not the only reason why Covercraft is the leader in the car cover making business. Covercraft also tend to be more precise in making the pattern to the body of the vehicle achieving that tailored fit look.

The Coverking may be trailing in position to Covercraft in terms of car cover popularity but in terms of quality it can very well compete with Covercraft. Unlike Covercraft, Coverking excel in providing patterns for popular vehicles that look and feel similar to a Covercraft car cover, and at present they have been able to find their own position in the business with unique items that include new fabrics, new colors, and new fits.

The two companies have histories that vary greatly. Although both started in Southern California, Covercraft had a two-decade jump on Coverking in the car cover business. Covercraft has started from a humble beginning with only a two-man operation that takes its root from a custom upholstery shop. It has eventually made its way to the friendly confines of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and was able to branch out into many other areas of auto accessory manufacturing.

On the other hand Coverking has started from knowledge which was acquired from the aerospace industry, combining technical protection know-how with the goal of paint preservation. Coverking was able to close the experience gap between itself and the Covercraft by building an arsenal of intricate fabrics and coatings. Covercraft for its part was able to build tremendous brand loyalty with many customers draping quality covers on generations of valued vehicles.

Different patterns of car covers are one thing but fabrics are another aspect of the business in which the two companies really competes with each other. Both companies make use of different types of fabrics supplied by different makers however the end result is similar and that is to create a car cover.

Covercraft utilizes Kimberly-Clark fabric called the Noah to produce their mid-grade, mid-weight outdoor cover while Coverking make use of a 3-layer counterpart that has the same feel, look, and heft named Tri-Guard to make their car covers. Except for a few notable creations from Covercraft like its Sunbrella which is a heavy fabric originally designed for sunshade; in response to Covercraft Sunbrella, Coverking has created its StormProof with its single-layer untreated outdoor car cover.

But of course at the end the decision still lies on your choice.
