When you talk about internet marketing, it doesn't stop at marketing a particular product but also encompasses the eliciting and making an immediate response to that given product.

If we talk about the established method of marketing, it is the promotion of goods and services. The vital functions of marketing are to create, keep, and satisfy the client. So how do you create customers in the first place? That's where advertising and promotion comes in. The more ads you put out there promoting your product, the more chances of you bagging a customer. If you dwell in a small settlement, and let's say that settlement has a number of stores that sells the same products, you will see that the store that has most ads out on the streets gets the most customers. In conventional marketing term, that is called product placement and product recall. Now, this process works perfectly for a small town. But we're not talking about a small town here, were talking about the internet. A place where thousands if not millions of companies are selling the same merchandise at any given time. So in that very competetive market, how can your company or product stand out and be noticed by a customer? That's where attraction marketing comes in.

Know your target market

There are two ways to go about marketing a product. You can either be a peddler or a marketer. A "peddler" is someone who pushes products and services to anybody that alive hoping that someone might be interested in it. On the other hand, a "marketer" markets themselves and market a solution to people who are already looking for what they have. Meaning, those who are already enthusiastic and eager to acquire that product to help them succeed.

Market yourself. YOU are the brand

Take for example the fortune 500 companies and how they market their organization. The way they market their organization is not by telling you about them, but by getting a personality that you know to tell you about their business. Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, David Beckham, they are the spokesperson for some of the biggest names in business, for the companies that they speak for knows that the customers would take note to what these people have to say. Would you buy a product from someone endorsed by Greg Smith? Exactly! Who on earth is Greg Smith?

Become a student of your craft

In the attraction marketing business, the biggest key factor is the word trust. Your prospect will listen to what you have to say and offer if they trust you. And the way you go about earning the trust of your prospects is by becoming a student of your trade. In order for you to raise your profit you must first increase your value. How do you go about doing this? Read books, go buy self help CD's, go to seminars that would train you the ins and outs of your industry. If you are really serious in making your business work, you must first arm yourself with the understanding on how to make it work in the first place. The main turno-ff for a prospect is a marketer that folds at a query thrown at him.

Spend the majority of your time marketing and prospecting

A lot can take place in a minute, much more in an hour. Remember, money comes from people. For every second you throw away not marketing and prospecting, you are giving others the possibility to take your prospect. In short, you are helping them get the money that should have gone to you in the first place. A successful marketer works diligently to produce prospects. Opportunity rarely knocks at our doors, so you must create those opportunities yourself.

Eliminate your broke thoughts

You are a product of your thoughts. If you fear the idea of failing, then you won't amount to anything in this business. Failure is a course that we all must be subjected to in order for us to improve. Just start focusing on what you don't know about marketing to be a better marketer. Think forward and don't settle for what you already have or know. Start to focus your thought process in receiving greatness instead of the lack of it. It's like this, focus on the home that you want, and not the home that you are in. Start focusing on who you are becoming in the process. Before anything changes for you in the outside, you must first change in the inside. So start embracing the notion that you might fail. And if you do, learn from it.
