The Law of Attraction and You: 3 Simple Steps to Get What You Want
What is "it," exactly?
"It" is the Law of Attraction, also known as the art of manifesting, deliberate creation, creating your own reality and conscious creation. Those who practice it know it's the key to getting what you want in life. Those who are just learning about it are excited to tap into the power this knowledge offers.
Which is why everyone is talking about it. It's the real deal. This stuff works miracles if you let it!
What's it all about? How can you get in on the action? It's easier than you might think. Although there are plenty of books, CDs, and websites you can immerse yourself in to learn about the Law of Attraction, some people get lost there. It doesn't work until you start using it, which you can do right now starting with these simple steps.
To begin using the Law of Attraction to improve your life, start with these simple steps:
1. Decide what you want
2. Start feeling good about it
3. Stop feeling bad about it
Because this process is all about what you're feeling, your success with it lies in choosing your feelings deliberately. Learn to go with the good feelings and release the not-so-good feelings. Your power as a deliberate creator is directly linked to your ability to feel good.
Start Simple
For those just beginning to flex their manifesting muscle, you may want to start simple. A "practice project" will build your confidence in yourself and help you experience the ease of the deliberate creation process.
A good practice project is something you will be delighted to receive or experience, but don't have attachment to. Look for a low-stakes item, but one you can enjoy thinking about. This is not necessarily the best time to manifest dropping 60 pounds overnight or a million dollars in your bank account. Start with something believable, yet desirable and out of the ordinary, so you'll know when it arrives that it's not coincidence.
Common first projects are flowers, animals, specific cars, songs, people, foods, etc. Once you choose your practice project, hold it in mind. Imagine your smile as you see it coming to you. Picture yourself enjoying it, and relishing your satisfaction that you created this.
Then simply repeat that process a couple times each day over the next several days, and keep an easy eye out for its manifestation. It won't take longer than a week or so, and many get results within a few days.
Go For It!
Once you're ready to move on to something bigger, just use the same process. Decide what you want; enjoy the feelings of having, being or doing it; and refrain from entertaining negative feelings about this topic.
Here's how this process might look if you choose to manifest more money in your life. Imagine how it will feel to have an abundance of cash, for debts to be paid in full and have a nice cushion in the bank for whatever you want to spend it on. Can you feel the freedom and imagine the satisfaction of extra money in your life? Good. Repeat that feeling - often!
When you find yourself worrying about the credit card bill due next week, or upset about the teeny raise you got - those are the feelings to release. They are show-stoppers for the money miracle you ordered up, and thus you want to disengage whenever you notice them. Simply redirect your attention to the feeling of financial abundance and prosperity that you prefer to experience, and go on about your day.
Another fabulous step for allowing your desire to unfold is to take more inspired actions and less "required" actions. Those things you think you "should" be doing or know you're "supposed" to do (but don't enjoy) - they're show-stoppers too. Instead, take action that feels good, which allows the Universe to give you what you want quickly and effortlessly.
Don't get wrapped up in worrying if you're doing it wrong, or discouraged if you don't do it "perfectly." The key to successful manifesting is having fun with the process, letting it be light and easy. Happy manifesting!
