Nokia 8800 is a silver sensation. Its classy, innovative and enriched with the latest multimedia functionality. The handset comes wrapped in a stainless steel casing, with smooth contours and an impeccable finish. This shows how Nokia has gone for a better material than the 8810 one. The slider phone, Nokia 8800 is constructed with Porsche technology. Thus, the slider mechanism is smooth and satisfactory to be operated. Moreover, the handset has been enabled with a scratch resistant screen, to ensure the model remains a pretty thing for a long time. Talking about the screen, it dominates most of the front fascia of the Nokia 8800. It has 208 x 208 pixel resolution, making reading and viewing a memorable experience.

Nokia 8800 is quite slim in its make, measuring only 107 x 45 x 16.5 mm. This makes it possible for the handset to be slid into pockets of pants and jackets. On being opened, the Nokia 8800 reveals an impressive looking keypad. But the impression is a little disturbed because the key are too small and for some it poses a problem in typing. In the similar way, the camera of Nokia 8800 (situated at the back) also makes a disappointing statement. It has only 0.5 MP. Seems like the engineers have given this feature as a mere favour to their customers. Nonetheless, for users who want to capture the moments of the life for namesake, this camera comes quite handy. For more entertainment, the Nokia 8800 is empowered with video recording capability, a FM radio, digital music player and provision for playing/ downloading games.

Other usable features that makes the Nokia 8800 a desired gadget are - tri-band connection for data and voice connectivity, Bluetooth, XHTML browser, GPRS and EDGE. The Nokia 8800 offers 64 MB memory and offers a talk time of 3 hours.
