The best thing about public schools is that parents do not have to pay tuition or buy their books. This helps the parents save money for new school clothes and other hobbies that the child might have. However, this makes it harder on some schools to provide the best resources for their students. In order to raise money for special things they find the need to have fundraisers.

When it comes to fundraisers you want to makes sure that they are fun and will bring people in. In order to do that you need to be creative and not stick with the same old ideas that everyone else is using. A good example of this is the car wash fundraiser. You don't know how many times I have seen high schools and colleges standing outside on the same weekend trying to bring people in to raise money for their schools.

While this idea is not bad it is overused. Also when it comes to Elementary schools with younger children it is not the best idea. No one wants our young children standing on the side of busy streets.

So no we need to think outside of the box. Which is why we have provided a few simple ideas that work.

Scratch cards are new to the fundraising world and very effective. These cards will bring in close to 90% more in profits then most other ideas. They are pocket sized booklets that have scratch off dots and a coupon pad in the center of them. On the front of the pamphlet you can put your school's name and the logo.

The best thing about these is that they are quick to sell and you don't have to order anything. All you need to do is go up to the person give them the booklet and collect your money on the spot. Hassle free.  This is very appealing to many people because they are helping their local schools and can possibly save $50 from retailers in their area.

Another popular idea for throwing the best fundraising for schools is the cookie dough fundraiser. There is no better way to bring in people then through delicious cookies. You can offer them cookie dough that all they have to do is scoop out and bake. In order to bring them in have a few samples out for them to try for a bake sale or special event. You will usually have a profit of 55%. Because you have to take orders you will not have to worry about putting money up front.

Possibly the easiest fundraiser are lollipops. These delicious candies never spoil - which makes them easy to get your hands on and they are perfect no matter what time of year it is. This will help bring in the younger children with their adults - which might bring in more people. To help sell more you can go to different offices like banks and sell them by the case.
