Writing - And Reading What You've Written Reaffirms Your Goals And Dreams - Life's Fundamental

Life's FUNdaMENTAL! We need to put the fun back into life, and look after our mental well being. (This is a name that I have come up with for my series of articles)

Create and use your own little book. An exercise book will do. When you have time, get yourself some colours for inside, and cover it. This is your own book, and for you only. Keep it by your bed with your pencil case.

Write your lists, budgets, ideas, your dreams, possible business ventures...really anything and everything about you. You could even write about your life. Write about everything that interests you.

Writing, and reading what you've written reaffirms your goals and dreams.

Let's start with lists. First list, let's write up our goals. Use dates to be definitive:

2 week goal

6 week goal

3 month goal

6 month goal

1 year goal

2 year goal

5 year goal

Be realistic, and write this list out regularly.

Daily in your book, write a list of six things that you must do on the following day, and do them, every single day. This can be little chores and big chores. Ideas such as making enquiries, paying bills, folding the washing etc. Be specific.

Create and stick to a schedule.

Write down ideas, feelings, business opportunities and budgets.

I also urge you to read up on books and articles about creating wealth. Not only because you will be able to reward yourself with wonderful things, but these books lead you onto self development as one of the main criteria for wealth.

After you have read a chapter or an article about investing, making money and improving yourself, skim back through with a highlighter(if they are your books) the bits that make great statements.

Rewrite these highlighted paragraphs in your exercise book. Before you go to bed, you should enjoy reading your exercise book, and getting a buzz from the new life you are creating in your head.

Remember your dreams. Do you remember your dreams when you wake up? I love dreaming, especially when they are really good dreams, with excitement, letting you escape reality.

Dreams are believed to be many things. When you have time, write a couple of paragraphs about your dream, the storyline and how it made you feel in your book. Write the date and draw a picture of a scene that seemed poignant in your notebook. You don't have to be Picasso as long as you put the effort in. Read back through the pages of your book.

If this interests you, learn more about dream journals and interpretation from good books. If you want, make a separate dream journal diary, and make it look great, as you did with your exercise book.

Another good idea with writing, is to write positive letters to people. Family and friends that you haven't spoken to in a long time would love to hear from you. Even just a short note. Don't mention bad things - write a few lines that are positive. If you have children, write about what grade the kids are in school now and something that your children enjoy doing. Ask your kids if they want to write a note to someone too? It doesn't have to be long.

Then SEND IT! Don't forget. This is also important - don't expect anything back. The fun is in the giving, and the surprise if you do actually receive mail back!.

If you want to write down your negative feelings and thoughts about something or someone, it's a good idea, however, get rid of it. Don't ever give it to anyone or keep it. I don't suggest that you use your book for this, as you want to be feeding your mind positive and helpful information. Your subconscious is very clever and will teach itself what ever you feed it. Both good or bad.

Situations and people change. If you keep the bad stuff you have written, no doubt it will come and bite you on the bum, long after you have forgotten about it. You don't want to keep reading these notes over and over. This won't improve your situation and will most likely keep you locked into the bitterness and negativity of your situation.

As the exercise book is your book, don't be too concerned if you have difficulties with your spelling and grammar. Give it a go, and you may be surprised at the results you get, from your own words.
