Super Paper Mario, the third game in the Paper Mario Series, is originally developed for Nintendo Game Cube. However its developer, Intelligent Systems, a division of Nintendo has switched this game on the Wii platform for some game play improvements and unique innovations.

Unlike with the previous games in Paper mario series such as "Paper Mario" and "Super Mario Bros" that have only role playing style game, this time, Super Paper Mario is blended with some elements of platforming game play that makes it stands out among them. This new combined package was created out of a desire to add some new styles in the gameplay but still managed to retain its classic concepts and familiar look. This sequel has many never before seen features such as switching from 2D to 3D dimension, creative story, unique funny dialogue, fun and entertaining characters and better game play with some new puzzle elements.

The adventure began when Count Bleck, the main antagonist in this game, forced to marry Princess Peach and Bowser in order to create a blasphemous object called the "Chaos Heart". This destructive object will be used by the evil count to open an interdimensional rift known as "The Void" that will finally destroy the entire universe. The only way for Mario to banish the Chaos Heart and reverse the destruction is to complete 8 Pure Hearts. These sacred objects should be gathered in order to stop the bad plans of the evil count and eventually save the world from obliteration. Although Mario is the main star in this game, the player will come across with some other characters such as Princess Peach, Bowser and Luigi that have different powers and abilities. Switching Mario to these characters will help the player to easily overcome the obstacles and to reach the final level. Aside from the special powers of Mario's members, the player will also see new companions known as pixls which will join him on his quest to gather Pure Hearts and defeat the evil count.

Now that the game is switched to Wii platform, playing Super Paper Mario uses enough Wii features so that the players will barely notice its platform switch. Instead of using the classic pad for playing this game, the players can now able to use the wireless wii remote as their new controller. Aside from this, it's unique feature to switch from a 2D perspective to a 3D world is the best changes for this game. This transformation helps the player to get over with some obstacles in 2D, to discover new routes and to solve new amazing puzzles.

Although Super Paper Mario has encountered bad criticisms on its effects on camera and audio, these negative feed backs have not succeeded to turn down this game. Its overall features such as creative designs, switching from 2D to 3D, accessible game play, amusing dialogue and entertaining characters have made this game fun, exciting and enjoyable to play with. In fact, Super Paper Mario is truly a remarkable adventure and is considered as one of Wii's best game.
