Needles in Haystacks-Finding Quality Designer Suppliers

Many things can be said about most of the "wholesale" and "liquidation" suppliers found on the internet. Most of what's to be said isn't necessarily good. Several years ago when I began my adventure of operating an online business, the first thing I sought out was quality suppliers. And seek I did.

Supplier after supplier yielded the same results that most online "newbies" encounter. Junk loads, counterfeit merchandise, super slow shipping times, rip-off schemes and just plain scammers are a few of the terms I'd use to describe some of businesses I encountered. What I failed to realize was just how easy it was for someone to lie over the internet.

Luckily for me, I don't give up easily, and I learn my lessons the first time around so as not to continue to make the same mistakes. Eventually I was able to locate the top tier, reputable suppliers that I had sought out for so long. If you believe all of the "Affiliate" sites online that have these wonderful pitch pages promising to deliver the "holy grail" of suppliers for a few bucks are real, prepare to watch your purses and wallets continue to get lighter and lighter.

It took about $300 for me to realize that 90% of the supplier's lists available are nothing more than re-canned junk that they purchased from someone else. If you're truly interested in obtaining the quality suppliers that enable people to make livings on ebay.com and reddmark.com, you're not going to get it for $2. Most times, with a lot of research, verification and invested time, you can locate these suppliers for free. Otherwise, be prepared to get ripped-off a few times or either pony up a hefty amount to secure your online future.
