A crucial and beneficial project to undertake with your dog is to train it properly so that training makes living together a pleasurable and rewarding experience. Training allows you to connect with your dog through communication which is vital in directing your dog to follow your commands, as well as establishing a good lifelong relationship. Training is not the panacea for all behavioral issues, but it is a good foundational start to civilized the wild behavior of your dog. Remember that different breed need different treat therefore your training must be based on that hypothesis.

Breeds that include German Shepherds, Malamutes, Australian Cattle Dogs and various other breeds of similar size and nature falls under the category of Working dogs classification are trained for assisting in transportation via dog sleds, for drug and explosive detection, personal security and protection, leading the visually impaired and livestock control. They are found on farm lots working livestock, police and military forces around the world and on the snowy tundra.

After categorizing the different breeds it will become easy for you to decide what type of treatment is required for each breed. Just as you would not ask a driver to fly an airplane, you should not ask a pure breed dog to do something their breeding would make them incapable of which would damage your relationship.
