Staying in touch with your customers has never been easier. As a matter of fact all it takes is an email address and a good auto responder. I use Aweber you can take a look for yourself here:
www.aweber.com

The average person reads their email 13 times in a week, that is almost twice a day. Imagine the possibilities if you were to send them a little information about yourself once a week? Do you think these people would trust you? Do you think they would thank you? Perhaps depending on what you send them.

Do you want to get in on this? Of course you do, who wouldn't want free advertising day in and day out on autopilot. You would be nuts if you said no! So what are the steps you ask? How do you do it? Before I go further please take the time to come up with a niche or market you want to cater to. The best part it can be ANYTHING!

- Scrapbooking
- Knitting
- Football Coaching
- Ebay Sales
- Parenting
- Blogging

The list goes on and on...I am sure you can see the potential in this. Lets move on.

Step #1 Get a reliable auto responder

You can use any auto responder you like, however I found that there are many on the market that just don't deliver as well as others. I have taken a look at several systems and found that www.aweber.com works the best. If you need reliability and function you can't go wrong. It even costs less than most...

Step #2 Get yourself a website

To start you don't need to pay for a website, but in the long run it will definately help you build some credibility. I suggest starting out with googlepages, it is free and their ajax based web design system is so easy a caveman can do it. You can find that here www.googlepages.com just sign up for an account and off you go.

HINT: You can even use your gmail account username and password!

There are many marketers that say don't ever use a free website provider, I agree to a certain extent however when you are testing out things and trying to do new projects it is safer to save money then leap before you look. Besides what better internet brand is there besides google?

Once you get in there start building your site, you won't believe how easy and painless it is. Not to mention they have a great amount of layouts to choose from and it is very customizable.

Step #3 Set up a Web Form

The next step after you are done setting up your website is to get your webform ready, I can't go too much into detail here but the tutorials at www.aweber.com are very thorough. If you use another auto responder I am sure they will provide you the information you need.

Once you are done take your webform and slap the script right on your website. Whats more is googlepages accepts java script where other free hosting sites do not. Also with www.aweber.com You can make changes to your webform from their control panel as long as you use the java script you won't have to go back to your web page and adjust the HTML.

HINT: The best part about this is you can attach your webform to 20 websites and all you have to do is change it once and have it applied to all the sites in unison. Amazing!

Step #4 Get Subscribers

Now that you have all the technical stuff out of the way you need to get subscribers.
But how are you going to do that? Well it depends on what type of newsletter you are providing and who you are targetting. There are different forms of advertising and different ways to reach people. Ive outlined some below, but you are free to experiment.

1. Article Writing - Use article writing to help promote your website, write articles about any subject you like and submit them to article directories for instant exposure! If you aren't the writing type you can hire someone to write them for you. Also you can buy some ready made articles and do it that way.

Do a search for article directories and you will find more than you can handle. Submission to these sites is free for the most part and they will be ready for other people to view in no time. If you don't want to hassle searching for these directories you can use the same article submitter I use. It has loads of directories already built in and will allow you to submit each article automatically to over 40 of them with one click. You can take a look at it here www.bargainknowledge.com/articlesubmitter

You can also find a pack of 650 private label articles here: www.bargainknowledge.com/plrarticles . Private label meaning you can do whatever you want with them. Yes you can even slap your name on it and say you wrote it. I find the best thing to do is take the article rewrite it in your own words and then submit it, but it is totally up to you.

2. Join Forums - Do a web search for forums in your favorite niche. Join those forums and become an active member. Stay involved, answer questions, ask questions, make statements and build a presence. You know what all forum members have in common? They all have signatures the only difference is yours is going to have a link to your newsletter website. Can you see the potential in this? I hope so

Every time you post anything your website will follow your name. The more you post the more people will see it. The difference in subscribers will be the quality of your posts and your reputation. Do not go into a forum thinking you are going to get flooded right away. But the more quality time you spend there, and the more active you are will definitly reflect in the number of subscribers you get from that source.

3. Yahoo Groups - This is a great source for free advertising. Although they are a bit saturated you can still send posts to thousands of people at once. All you do is log on to www.yahoogroups.com and sign up for different groups. Once you are a member you can send posts to everybody in the group! Some groups have as many as 50000 members. Can you see how this could be valuable? Its free too.

4. Solo Ads - I love this subject, mostly because it is how I advertise, but also because it is so easy. Write one solo ad, send it to a list and if it is good enough watch the subscribers roll in by the hundreds. Its fun to come back to the office on the Monday after a solo ad was sent out and see hundreds of orders sitting in my inbox.

A good way to get yourself ramped up on solo ads is by snatching a copy of Gauher Chaudhry's Ad Gladiator. The book is about 100+ pages but the info inside will turn even the slowest of pupils into solo ad gladiators. A good investment and a great resource. Ive read it about 4 times, and refer to it frequently, don't laugh though it is one of the main reasons for my success with solo ads. You can find it here www.bargainknowledge.com/

HINT: Gauher includes many ezine and directory sites in his book "Ad Gladiator"

5. Search Engine Optimization - There are many ways to put your site on top of the list organically without having to pay for clicks. SEO or Search Engine Optimization is when efficiency and popularity come together. Although I could write for days on this subject I will leave it up to you to research.

Just go to google and search for SEO, there are many free reports out there to help you learn more about optimization. The problem most people have with this form of traffic is it could take a very long time to see significant results. However if you keep at it and do your homework, the yield from this can be higher then anything you can imagine.

6. Your existing customers - The reason you are starting your list in the first place is to gain customers or prospects. Most people don't take the time to realize that they have stacks and stacks of existing customer leads that haven't been solicited to. Use your existing customers and add them to your newsletter, make sure you have their permission first though.

Step #5 - I got the subscribers now what?

Now you have to decide how often you are going to want to keep in touch with your subscribers. Depending on your niche or market that may very from every couple days to once a month. I always advise not to spam your list every day with advertisings and ramblings, that is what blogs are for.

Instead nurture your list, protect it, cater to it and set up a schedule as to when you will send solo ads to your list. I prefer to send them out twice a month, typically on the 1st and 15th, It is solely up to you though.

I would also recommend you sprinkle free gifts in your newsletter. Maybe every couple months you write some free content that you know will help your newsletter members and send it out to them. This content can come from your field of expertise or your business.

Perhaps you know a jiu jitsu technique that many people don't know about or you discovered a great way to build the bicep muscles that shaved an hour off your workout. Maybe you can teach people a knitting technique that can help strengthen their seams. I am sure you get the point, but whatever it is you can teach it and people will read it!

If you constantly remind people that you and your business is there and at the stand by to serve them and solve their problems for them they will use you. By adding quality content to your newsletter and establishing yourself as an expert in your field people will learn to trust you.

When they trust you, they will buy from you.

For more information and articles like the one you just read please join my newsletter at www.bargainknowledge.com you will get a free gift valued at 47.00 as well as more knowledge packed "how to's" like the one you just read.

To Your Success,

- Milan
