If you participate in life coaching, there are several traits you should have in your part to make sure that the coaching process is successful. If you lack these traits, even the best life coaches won't give you good results. Why? Because at the end, whether or not you grow depends on yourself. You should do your part before you can expect to have a good and successful coaching. Here are three traits you should have:
1.Being open to input and new ideas
You need to be open to what your life coach tells you. Oftentimes he or she may say something you don't want to hear. While you can just take the easy way and ignore it, the right thing to do is to open your ear and listen to it carefully. It's not easy to build this trait but it's necessary if you are to get results from your coaching.
2.Having the desire to learn
Being open is good but it's not enough. You should also have the desire to learn. If you don't have the desire, you will only be mediocre in your achievements. That's because you don't have the desire to excel in your coaching. On the other hand, if you have the desire to learn you will have the drive to go further and deeper than other people. This will in turn lead you to success.
3.Acting quickly
While learning is necessary, what will make the difference is application. Only through application can you change your life. Even if you learn a great deal, you won't improve your life if you don't put what you've learned into practice. So make it a habit to apply what you learn. Find practical applications of what you learn and do them. By doing this you will improve your life and not just increase your knowledge.

While simple, these three traits are essential if you want to have a successful life coaching. They allow you to get the most out of your coaching experience. So if you find yourself lacking any of them, make it a goal to build the traits you lack. While building the traits takes time, you will eventually get the results you want.
