Rumsfeld the Viking Bureaucrat Makes Room for Intelligence

According to an Associated Press news article by Robert Burns and Katherine Shrader, "After years of defending his secretary of defense, President Bush on Wednesday announced Donald H. Rumsfeld's resignation within hours of the Democrats' triumph in congressional elections. Bush reached back to his father's administration to tap a former CIA director to run the Pentagon." So finally, after so many years, the Pentagon is getting some intelligence at the top of its leadership! (Pun intended)

So without a vote and without any deliberations to be taken up by our new and improved democrat led congress, America has gotten rid of the warmonger that held our military hostage in Iraq for so many years (Take that Rush Limbaugh). Now, that is efficiency for you. This is just what our country needs, efficiency, simplicity, effectiveness and peace. Once again, America will be taken into progress for its entire people, and not just for the well-off wealthy republican bureaucrats that have been filling up their pockets with blood stained cash over these past few years.

Hopefully this is a sign of peace to come. Perhaps now we can sit down and listen to the voice of reason, instead of the voice of hatred and pride, and we can begin to heal a nation that is wounded from war. And I say that we are wounded from war, because with every casualty that we have in Iraq, the hearts of Americans bleed and hurt. My heart goes out to the brave men and women of our armed forces, who give their life for their country. I wish that those who send them out to die would consider the cost of human life that is paid by these great model citizens.

Frankly, I think that the demise of Rumsfeld the Viking Bureaucrat, will make the situation in Iraq a hopeful one instead of the dead end situation that we were beginning to experience over the past years. Rumsfeld's departure is the answer to the prayers of many peace loving Christians, and other peace loving individuals. I am truly glad that Rumsfeld's war faction days have come to an end, and that a new way, a peaceful way, has been set into motion by the vote of the American people.

So for those of you out there who think that your vote does not count, here is a prime example of the power that exercising ones vote really has. Just remember that when the presidential election comes around. Just remember that and pray for a new era for this country of ours, and for a government that takes all of its citizens into account, when making decisions, such as the decision to go to war.
