You will find that your baby is growing at amazing rate, from infancy it is slowly moving towards becoming a young child, at the age of two your baby has already learned to walk and move around the house, it is probably becoming an expert at eating all by himself by using simple yet innovative techniques like the highchair, etc.

Now you feel it is the time, your child should be freed of his baby stuff and should be bought some new stuff, which will help your toddler become all the more independent and self-reliant. The new furniture should also help your toddler to move around his space with ease and comfort.

So this now is the ideal time to buy all new stuff for your baby to help him grow up comfortably without too many barriers. Nursery furniture you will find for this age group is highly innovative fashionable and stylish. Nursery furniture designers are now incorporating new and better ideas to make your child's room look all the more attractive and accommodative.

You can start by changing the Cot and buying a bed for him instead, it would be simpler for him to get inside the bed all by himself instead of getting inside a Cot. You can also try to put side tables next to his bed so that these can hold all this necessary belongings also something like a torch and books, so that he can choose which one you should read to him at bed time.

Another most important thing you can buy for your child after he grows a little older is a study table and chair. Most of the children start showing the inclination to hold and pencil and a pen and write on a paper. Nursery furniture includes a range of different type of study furniture, which will help you inculcate a good habit of making your child sit at the time he is starting to study.

Instead of lying on the floor, which is what children normally do, your child can sit properly on a study chair and write on the table which will also help retaining and improving his posture. Most of the study tables are available foldable in the market, if you have enough space around the house, where you can accommodate a study table around your home, then you can go in for the non foldable ones too.

You can get these tailor made if you know any good carpenters. Ideally a study table should be made of wood, since it is strong and can take wear and tear made by the child. Plastic study tables would not be too sturdy, neither will they last longer than a certain period of time. Study tables once bought should be useful for more than five years, platic tables do not guarantee that they will work for that much period of time.

Ideal nursery furniture is the one which stands to test of being provided wear and tear by children who will jump, run, bang, hit, unknowingly, but the damage will still be there, so buying durable nursery furniture makes sense if you want it to last a long time.
