One thing that authors of ebooks often note is that many readers comment on their books or even ask questions of the writer, which were already covered in the book. Meaning that the readers are not full engaged or actually reading the entire text. This makes sense because people who read eBooks are often doing it online or looking at a computer downloaded copy.

Recently I was asked by my Editor in Chief; What strategies will you use to keep the readers attention? And he went on to ask me;

One more question: How do you plan to jazz them up? Do you provide any anecdotes or real world examples, quote third-party sources and the like? I noticed in your notes that some of your books will have pictures and drawings. What other techniques do you use to hold reader interest?

I will be using a strategy of Clip art, graphics, charts, pictures, sketches. I think. I have no problem enclosing sample format "Templates" for the eBooks. I know thousands of people and have no problem getting juicy quotes, expert advice on any subject in any of my eBooks. I have also considered for some subject workbook areas, forms, and such. I indeed plan to also recruit other authors as well to this eBook project too. Whatever works. Here is a sample of how I have accomplished this before in other eBooks;

As you can see if you are a writer who authors eBooks you better consider the attention span of your reader and figure out how to get them to read the entire eBook. I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple; to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.
