Do you feel uncomfortable being on stage? Do strangers make you tremble? Do you feel uncomfortable being in a group of people? You could be suffering from social anxiety.

Here are some steps that you can follow to build your courage and conquer your fear in your social life.

The most important step is building up your self confidence. The feeling of inferiority when with other people or the feeling of being less than the people you talk to is a sign of social anxiety. Making your self image more positive is the key to overcoming shyness.

Setting goals for yourself is another step. Try focusing on small activities such as daily objectives. After a few successful tries, move on to your next goal or something even more challenging than your daily goals.

Making new friends can be the biggest leap you will make in your social life. Introducing yourself to people you meet, a simple greeting such as a hi and hello would be a very simple task that may lead you to new friendships. Complimenting someone gives you a chance to start a conversation. And a simple conversation is best for starting a good relationship.

Having close bonds with friends is best because they will always catch you before you start trembling. They will always be glad to help you out and be a part of your development.

Try exploring new things that you never did before. Like, making friends with people you always seem to like but find difficult to approach.

Laughing often could make it easier. But laugh only when you find things really laughable or genuinely amusing.

Making a list of things that make you shy will keep you on track and give you more pointers on what you must work on next. Put them in order from the least challenging to the most challenging and try to accomplish them one by one.

Relax and visualize yourself in situations that you are uncomfortable with. Doing this often, especially in the morning, will give you more confidence as if you are doing the scenario right then. Do this over and over until you feel comfortable.

Try to boost your self confidence by acknowledging your success. Convince yourself that you are not a failure. It will automatically register in your mind that you could be more than what you are right now.

Deciding on what exactly has been bothering you will give you a lot of perspective on what to do about your social anxiety. Ask yourself why you become shy in front of people. What is it about it that makes you shy all of a sudden?

Practice standing tall and firm, speaking loud and clear to people. This will give you the impression that you are strong and confident in your being. This will help you boost your self confidence. To surround yourself with situations that make you feel comfortable will give you more courage and a better outlook on situations that you are not comfortable with.

Be yourself - hold on to your true personality. Being comfortable with who you are will make you more confident telling people who you really are.

Always face your fear in a patient way. Be positive about what you are trying to accomplish. This will boost your self-esteem and give you a better chance of making good use of how to overcome shyness advice.
