Three Reasons God Wants You Rich

1. Establish The Covenant He make With Abraham Deuteronomy 8:18 states, "But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day."

When God prospers Abraham's seed, which we are if we belong to Christ, He is fulfilling His promise to Abraham, that in thy seed shall all nations be blessed. (Genesis 22:18) If ye be Christ then are ye Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29) The scripture calls Abraham the heir of the world. In Christ we are Abraham's heirs. Romans 4:13 states, "For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith."

Once we understand why God wants us rich we can use our faith to receive His riches and use them as He desires. Until it is settled in the heart that God wants us rich, faith will not work towards His riches. The heart must be clear of all doubt for faith to work towards the promises of God. The scripture says that Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness. He believed that what God had promised him, he was also able to bring it to pass.

James 2:23, "And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God." In order to be called a friend of God, we must believe His word and act on it as we would the word of a close friend. When we take the time to develop a friendship with God, acting on His word is easy. He will be a friend that sticks closer that a brother.

Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. We cannot serve God if we serve money (hold to it or use it unwisely), but we can serve God with money as our servant to bless others and to spread the gospel of Christ in the earth.

2. God Is A Loving Father God wants his children blessed beyond measure. Poverty is a curse that comes when God's teachings are not followed. It will come on an individual or it will come on a nation. The blessing can come only when the word of is obeyed. God revealed his Word to keep His people out from under the curse that they may walk in His blessings all the days of their life.

John 1:1-4 states, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Jesus is the Word of God. Psalm 119:130 states, The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

God wants us to understand that in the earth there is blessing and cursing. When we obey his word we are overtaken by the blessing when we disobey his word we are overtaken by the curse. Deuteronomy 30:19 states, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live..." How do we choose life. We choose the Word of God. Remember the above scripture, "In Him was life and that life was the light of men."

3. There Is Work To DoJohn 4:35 states, Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

I Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. It takes prosperity to get God's word in the earth. The word of God is a priceless seed. It is the only seed that produces eternal life. We should spare it no expense. Ask any farmer the cost of farming. It takes lots of money to produce a harvest. Thank God for farmers. Without them most of us would go hungry. Every farmer should be at the top of our prayer list praying that God supply them with wisdom and knowledge and bountiful rain, that plagues and pests be far from their land, that they always reap a bountiful harvest.

May we also pray this prayer over those that are preaching the gospel of Christ. The world is hungry for the word of God. They are looking for a way out of poverty sin and death and the word is the only hope they have. Romans 10:15, And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! It takes God's riches to get the message out.
