IIPM (The Indian Institute of Planning and Management) Bangalore in association with Hutch (Vodafone) has now taken our institute completely mobile. By this we mean that the students and the IIPM management have a new interface between them which is accessible 24/7 at the touch of a button on their cell phone. SMS "IIPM" to 3456 is the tag attached to this gigantic and extremely beneficial initiative.

This facility has two dimensions to it, "The Push" and "The Pull". It is an extremely simple interface through which IIPM students and IIPM faculty can communicate with each other and ensure synchronicity.

The Push is essentially used when IIPM (The Indian Institute of Planning and Management) Bangalore wants to communicate with all the students regarding various issues like, seminars, guest lectures, schedule of classes, various important notification for students, companies on campus, results, GOTA, etc. The reach and scope of this tool is very vast. It is essentially a replacement for paper notices and posters which do not get noticed.

The Pull is a tool used by the IIPM student to retrieve a customized message from the server on his/her result, thesis status, viva timings, placement registrations, etc. This would be accessible 24 hours a day to every IIPM student at the campus.

This tool is however in its pilot study and it is being fine tuned to achieve excellent connectivity between students and the management to ensure there perfect symmetry and harmony at the Institute.

So IIPM Students, just SMS "IIPM" to 3456 and explore.....
