Car alarm or remote start installation can be very expensive, especially if you already own your system. Although it may be easier to pay an installer, doing it yourself is still possible. If you do not have much experience with vehicle electronics, then follow these instructions. Check out the website at the bottom for more information.

Step One

Gather Tools And Supplies

The first step when installing your remote start or alarm system is to gather all of your tools and supplies. Being prepared will save you time and headaches. Make sure you have everything you need before you begin.

Step Two

Find Vehicle Wiring Diagram

The second step is to find and read the wiring diagram for your vehicle. This information will tell you what wires you are looking for, what color the wires are, and where in your vehicle you will find them.

Step Three

Test & Confirm Wires In Your Vehicle

The third step is to test the necessary wires in your vehicle using your wiring guide as a reference. This is the most important step in your installation.

Step Four

Prepare Your Alarm For Installation

The fourth step is to prep the unit for installation. This should be easy now that you know what wires you will be needing. This step will help you achieve a clean and easy installation.

Step Five

The Installation

With all the prepwork and research out of the way, it is now time to complete the actual installation. This should be a breeze if all other steps have been completed. You are now just connecting to the wires you have already found.
